Exchange Program & Landscape Leadership Camp ASIA 2025: Strengthening Social Forestry Through Youth Leadership

LATIN, in collaboration with the Green Leadership Forum, CIFOR-ICRAF, and Patera Foundation, held the Exchange Program & Landscape Leadership Camp ASIA 2025 from April 23–28, 2025. The program took place across two of LATIN’s learning landscapes: Cibulao (Bogor) and Cipeuteuy (Sukabumi).

Designed to connect young participants from across Asia, the program provided in-depth exposure to community-based landscape leadership. In Cibulao, participants explored issues such as land tenure, poverty, community movement, disaster-prone areas, and shaded coffee for conservation. In Cipeuteuy, the focus shifted to farmer group institutions, integrating village funds into Social Forestry, and community exchanges between Padasenang and Sukagalih to share local success stories.

This initiative marks an early step in building a cross-cultural leadership network and fostering collaboration on Social Forestry across Asia.
