The Indonesia Government on climate funding

The Indonesian government does not provide a single, transparent list of specific villages that directly receive climate funding (detailing village names and monetary amounts).

However, information on support is available:

  • Climate Village Program (ProKlim): The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) registers thousands of ProKlim locations in the National Registry System for Climate Change Control (SRN PPI). Locations that receive the highest awards (Utama/Main or Lestari/Sustainable Categories) are often announced, signaling successful adaptation/mitigation implementation that may attract regional or private support.
  • Large-Scale Funding: International climate funds, such as from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and Result-Based Payment (RBP) schemes, are generally channeled to the provincial level (e.g., West Kalimantan) or fund managers (e.g., BPDLH). The government then allocates these funds to support grassroots programs like Social Forestry and ProKlim, but the detailed breakdown of allocations per small Forest Farmer Group (KTH) is rarely made public as a centralized list.

Transparency exists at the program and aggregated level, but is not yet detailed down to individual village allocations.
